Diocese invites youth grades 6-8 to ‘Winter Spectacular’ rally

The St. Cloud Diocese invites youth in grades 6-8 to the “Winter Spectacular” Junior High Youth Rally Jan. 12, 2014, at St. John’s Preparatory School, Collegeville. The day begins at 9:15 a.m. with registration, prayer and keynote speaker Scott Frieler, director of youth ministry at Holy Spirit, St. Anthony and St. John Cantius parishes in St. Cloud. Recreational activities, lunch and more activities follow. The day ends with praise and worship music and Mass in the Abbey Church, celebrated by Bishop Donald Kettler. The Mass collection will go to the Child Survivor Project in our Sister Diocese in Kenya. Students are encouraged to donate a food shelf item at the rally; those participating will be entered into a prize drawing.

If registered by noon Jan. 3, the cost is $16 per person; after that, the cost is $21. Students should register with their parish youth rally coordinator. For more information about the rally, visit cem.stcdio.org/youthministry/youthrallies.
