Albany • Seven Dolors Parish Summer Festival begins with indoor polka Mass at 10:30 a.m. with music by The Nite Owls. Serving starts at 11 a.m. for chicken and ham dinner in air-conditioned parish center and Holy Family School lunchroom. Takeout available. Stands — food and refreshments including fet kuchen, fancywork and crafts, quilt stand, country store, bingo, games for kids and cake walk — open at 11 a.m. Event includes hand-stitched quilts (sale begins at 10 a.m.), live music by Gene Ostendorf (1 to 5:30 p.m.), quilt auction (3 p.m.), raffle drawing ($2,000 grand prize/over 225 prizes) at 6 p.m.

Event includes food and refreshments, music by Dale Dahmen and the Polka Beats, bingo, pull tabs, country store, silent auction, games for kids, fancywork, bake sale, veggie sale, book sale and quilt wheel. Grand raffle drawing at 4:30 p.m.

Rush Lake • St. Lawrence Parish Festival starts with outdoor polka Mass celebrated by Bishop Donald Kettler (with Cathy Erickson Band) at 10:30 a.m. Prime rib and chicken dinner served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Takeout available.) Event includes music, silent auction, bingo, children’s games, country store, snacks, refreshments, soft serve ice cream and raffle drawing (3 p.m.). Church is located at 46404 Co. Hwy. 14, Perham. St. Joseph • Fare for All food distribution, which sells packages of fruits, vegetables and frozen meats, is from 3 to 5 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 610 Co. Rd 2. Program is open to everyone and does not require registration. Cash, credit, debit and EBT cards are accepted. Fare for All is sponsored by a community collaboration of local congregations and community organizations including Catholic Charities-Emergency Services and St. Joseph Parish, St. Joseph. Jacobs Prairie • St. James Parish celebrates its 160th anniversary while hosting their annual Pork Chop and Corn-on-the-Cob Feed from 4 to 9 p.m. (Hot dogs available for children under 5.) Mass celebrated at 8 p.m. with Bishop Kettler presiding. Parish is located on Co. Rd 2 between Cold Spring and St. Joseph.

Randall • St. James Parish August Fest begins with Bishop Donald Kettler celebrating Mass at 10 a.m. Gorka’s chicken, ham and corn-on-the-cob dinner served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes food and refreshments, jumbo ice cream cones, music, country store, cake/pie walk, bingo, face painting, games and “table of toys” raffle for kids and a silent and live auction (3 p.m.). Special raffles for Henry repeating deer rifle and hunter’s chest and waterfowl and small game package (shotgun and 22 rifle). Reno Township/Lowry • St. John Nepomuk Parish Annual Dinner and Bazaar begins with Mass at 10:30 a.m. Chicken and wieners dinner served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes bingo, games for all ages, country store, kolache and bake sale, silent auction, beer garden and raffle. (Parish is located 5 miles NE of Lowry and 1/4 mile W of Lake Reno.)

Wahkon • Sacred Heart Parish Bazaar starts with Mass at 10 a.m. in handicapped accessible, air-conditioned church. Beef dinner with all the trimmings served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in air-conditioned church hall. Brats, chips and pop sold outside. Event includes bingo, basketball, bocce ball, flea market, country store (homemade, homegrown and home baked items), live auction (2 p.m.) and cash raffle drawing at 3 p.m.

St. Cloud • Prayer vigil — to reflect and pray for all who are in jail and for just reform for immigration — at 11 a.m. in front of detention center, 807 Courthouse Square. (Hosted by St. Joseph Parish, Waite Park, this vigil is held regardless of weather conditions.)

Sartell • St. Francis Xavier Parish Fall Festival continues with Franny Flyer 5K and 10K Walk and Run at 9 a.m. (Children’s 1K at 8:30 a.m.) Food and refreshments booths open at noon. Live and silent auction, children’s games, beanbag tournament all start at 1 p.m. Mass celebrated at 4 p.m. Live music by Tres’ and Big Toe & the Jam from 5 to 10 p.m. (Event continues Sunday.)

Event includes music by Ray Drontle Band (noon to 2 p.m.) and Max and Deb Band (2 to 5 p.m.) Quilt auction (2 p.m.), children’s raffle (4 p.m.) and raffle drawing with top prize of 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, 4 door sedan w/29,000 miles (5 p.m.)

Meire Grove • St. John the Baptist Parish annual Men’s Breakfast, served 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., features ham, eggs, fried potatoes and bread.

Mora • St. Mary Parish Fall Festival begins with Mass at 10 a.m. followed by an old-fashioned chicken dinner with “all the trimmings” and pie and ice cream served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Event includes music under the trees, booths, silent auction, old time general store with Book Nook, kiddie games, pedal go-carts, inflatables, bake walk, quilt raffle, handmade gift items from Third World countries and coffee beans from Chiapas, Mexico.
