The Journey of the Magi

“The Journey of the Magi” was presented Dec. 29 in the St. Benedict Parish gymnasium in Avon; it was written and directed by Kari Kounkel, parish ministry assistant, with musicians from St. Benedict and the surrounding area. Magi Larry Kounkel hands out special “gifts” to members of the audience after he and the other wise men journeyed with gifts to offer to baby Jesus during the performance. Kounkel is the father-in-law of Kari Kounkel. Musicians sing “The Friendly Beasts,” inviting the audience to sing along.
