1964 Graduated from Crosier Seminary Junior College, Onamia

1970 Graduated from St. John’s University and Seminary, Collegeville

May 29, 1970 Ordained to the priesthood for the Sioux Falls Diocese

1970-1979 Served as associate pastor in Aberdeen and Sioux Falls, S.D.

1979-1981 Coordinated work for the Sioux Falls Diocesan offices

1981 Attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and received licentiate degree in canon law

1983 Named judicial vicar for the Sioux Falls Diocese

1984 Began ministry as the weekly TV Mass celebrant for the Sioux Falls Diocese

1984-1987 Coordinated work for the Sioux Falls Diocesan offices

1987-1995 Served as rector of St. Joseph Cathedral, Sioux Falls

In addition to pastoral responsibilities, he was a member of the Sioux Falls Diocesan Finance Council, Stewardship Committee, Catholic Family Services board of directors, the Association of Christian Churches of South Dakota board of directors, and a bord member of the Sioux Falls Catholic school system.
