Jan. 22 MCCL March for Life moved to Capitol Rotunda due to severe weather

Jan. 22 marks the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in the United States. Parishioners are encouraged to attend events observing this anniversary and to board buses to attend the Jan. 22 March for Life at the Minnesota State Capitol, sponsored by the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life in an effort to end abortion.

Rosary, Vespers for Life and 40-hour eucharistic adoration

All are invited to pray the Rosary for Life at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 19 and attend the Vespers for Life at 4 p.m. at St. Anthony Church, 2405 N 1st St., St. Cloud. The prayer vigil encourages that the dignity of life from conception to natural death be recognized and the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Those attending are asked to bring a baby item to be donated to Birthline, Inc.

A 40-hour eucharistic adoration will begin at 4 p.m. Jan. 20 and end with Mass at 7:15 a.m. Jan. 22 at St. Anthony Church. There will be a blessing for those riding buses to attend the MCCL March for Life. For more information, contact Kathleen Virnig at 320-259-6809.

The prayer service at the Cathedral of St. Paul, St. Paul, will be at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 22. The MCCL March for Life begins at noon on the Capitol grounds, with a short program on the Capitol front steps at 12:30 p.m.
