“Amazing Grace’ resonates through activities at Senior High Youth Rally

More than 460 people, youth and chaperones, celebrated their Catholic faith at the 25th annual Senior High Youth Rally, “S.W.A.G.: Saved With Amazing Grace,” Oct. 27 at St. John’s University in Collegeville.

Among the rally highlights were the presentation of two youth ministry awards. The Companions on the Journey Award honored Kathy Knoblach, youth minister at St. Paul and Our Lady of Angels parishes in Sauk Centre. She has been instrumental in raising awareness and funds for the Sister Diocese Relationship with Homa Bay, Kenya, and participation in We Day Minnesota and many other events.

The St. Timothy Award was given to Richard Polipnick, an 11th grader who is also from Our Lady of Angels. The awards are the highest recognition from the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry for a diocese to confer to a youth minister or student.
