Bishop Donald Kettler blessed and dedicated new stained glass windows in the chapel at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud Oct. 9. The Chapel Window Project was completed in August and includes 50 pieces of stained glass art made by TerHaar Stained Glass Studio of Cold Spring.

windowblessing2The octagon-shaped chapel has five stained glass window panels on each of the eight sides. The symbol of the Benedictine cross appears in four of the panels depicting the Benedictine heritage of peace, “that in all things God may be glorified” and that “all shall be treated as Christ.” The four remaining symbols represent the healing ministry of Eucharist, the Holy Spirit, reconciliation and anointing of the sick. The two back walls of the chapel have five tall windows each, all continuing with the theme.
