Sunday, June 14

Belle Prairie • Holy Family Parish hosts Holy Family Heritage Festival from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Polka Mass at 10:30 under tent with music by Stan’s Country Dutchmen followed by Henry Stocker with dancing (on dance floor) all afternoon. Chicken and sausage meal follows Mass. Activities include cash bingo, silent auction, hammerschlagen, country store, quilt raffle, children’s games, cake walk, food booths and beer garden, displays and stories and cash raffle drawing with $12,000 in prizes beginning at 4 p.m. (Located at 18777 Riverwood Drive, Little Falls.)

Jacobs Prairie • St. James Parish hosts Parish Bazaar starting with outdoor Mass (weather permitting) at 9 a.m. on the parish grounds. Breakfast of eggs, ham, sausage, hash browns and Texas toast served in church basement (handicapped accessible) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Brats, hamburgers and hot dogs available from 11 a.m. to close. Beer garden open from noon to close. Event includes country pantry/store and cake walk starting at 10 a.m., bingo from 1 to 5 p.m., horse-drawn wagon rides, antique tractor display, inflatables for kids, silent auction, quilt auction at 4 p.m. followed by cash raffle drawing. Wildwoods perform from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. (Located on Co. Rd. 2, between Cold Spring and St. Joseph.)


Saturday, June 20

New Munich • Immaculate Conception Parish co-sponsors Munichfest with theme of “Down on the Farm” on church grounds starting with Little League tournament at 8:30 a.m. and volleyball tournament at 10 a.m. Food and beverage stands open at 11 a.m. Parade at 2 p.m. kicks off activities including children’s pedal tractor pull, kids’ games, amateur baseball game, beanbag tournament, firemen expo, bingo, pull tabs and cake walk. St. Martin Community Band plays at 4 p.m. Outdoor polka Mass featuring Stan’s Country Dutchmen at 8 p.m. Music by DJ Orbeck from 4 to 7:45 p.m. and live music featuring the Buck Band starting at 9 p.m. Parish raffle and quilt drawing at 11 p.m.


Saturday, June 27

Melrose • St. Mary Parish polka Mass begins at 4 p.m. at Sauk River Park. Parish raffle drawing — with 10 cash prizes (grand prize of $20,000 and second prize of $5,000) held at the park at approximately 8:45 p.m. Tickets are $100 each. Only 1,000 chances will be sold. (Must be 18 or older to win. Need not be present to win.) St. Augusta • St. Mary, Help of Christians Parish Festival starts with Gussie Gallop (1K race at 8:15 a.m., 5K at 8:45 a.m.) Outdoor Mass celebrated at 5 p.m. Beer garden and food stands open at 6 p.m. Firefighters’ water ball fights start at 6 p.m. Bountiful Baskets from 6 to 8 p.m. Dance, with music by DiamondBack, is from 8 p.m. to midnight. (Festival continues Sunday.)

St. Martin • St. Martin Parish Festival starts with 1K for youth and 5K walk/run at 10 a.m. PeeWee baseball tournament at 10 a.m. All stands open from 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Bean bag tournament at 12:30 p.m. Polka Mass celebrated at 4 p.m. Live music by BLT Band from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Event includes food and refreshments, amusement and games for kids, forgotten treasure stand and meat raffle all day. Quilt auction at 6:30 p.m. Cash raffle drawing at 8 p.m. St. Joseph Society ATV raffle at 9:30 p.m.

Brennyville • St. Elizabeth Parish Festival begins with Mass at 10 a.m. Chicken dinner served from 11 a.m. to noon in bingo hall — $10/plate — only 75 dinners served. Event includes beer wagon and lunch stands, fancy stand, prize bingo, pull tabs, basket raffle, garden stand, mystery gifts, cake walk, youth softball tournament and games for kids up to 16 (held in handicapped accessible church basement) with one-time ticket charge for all day. St. Anna • Immaculate Conception Parish Bazaar begins with 10 a.m. Mass followed by a chicken and ham dinner served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes live music featuring Nathan’s Old Time Band from 1 to 5 p.m., beer and pop stands, food court, silent auction, bingo, cake walk, pull tabs, paddle wheel, country store, games for kids and bounce house. Quilt raffle, gun raffle (Henry Golden Boy 22 Long Rifle Lever Action) and all-cash raffle drawings ($1,000 grand prize) at 7 p.m. (Parish is 5 miles north of Avon.)

St. Augusta • St. Mary, Help of Christians Parish Festival continues from Saturday with outdoor polka Mass at 10 a.m. Chicken dinner served from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in air-conditioned parish center. Bingo, games, inflatables, food and beverages available throughout event. Kevin Lange and the Mississippi Drifters play from noon to 5 p.m.; quilt auction at 2 p.m., kids’ pedal tractor pull at 3 p.m., Bountiful Baskets from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and raffle (over $10,000 in cash and prizes) at 5 p.m.


Friday, July 3

St. Joseph • St. Joseph Parish Festival starts with bingo, games, food and refreshments at 6 p.m. “Joetown Rocks” — free concert from 6 p.m. to midnight  — features Matthew and Gunnar Nelson with Jeff and Tommy Vee in “Ricky Nelson Remembered,” The Graduates, Jeremiah James Korfe and Maiden Dixie. Fireworks at dusk. (Festival continues tomorrow.)


Saturday, July 4

Duelm • St. Lawrence Parish Festival features chicken and ham dinner served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in air-conditioned hall. Stands open at 11 a.m. Event includes bingo and other games for adults, games for kids and live music by Virg & The Eldorados. Raffle drawing at 5 p.m.

St. Joseph • St. Joseph Parish Festival continues from yesterday starting with parade at 10 a.m. Event includes bingo, games for the whole family, food and beverages starting at 11 a.m. Live music by Walter’s Wheelhouse at 11:30 a.m. Quilt auction at 1:30 p.m. Raffle drawing at 3 p.m. Mass celebrated at 5 p.m.


Saturday, July 11

Menahga • Assumption of Our Lady Parish sponsors food booth from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in air-conditioned parish hall as part of the Menahga Midsummer Celebration. Menu includes brats, hotdogs, barbecue and pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, beans, chips and freshly baked pie.

Pearl Lake/Marty • Holy Cross Parish Festival starts with registration for 5K “Pork Chop Trot” walk/run at 8 a.m. and registration for 1K kids’ walk/run at 9 a.m. Polka Mass with Laverne and The Starlites at 4 p.m. Grilled pork chops and sweet corn served from 5 to 8 p.m. Beer garden and hamburger stand open from 5 p.m. to midnight. Event includes bingo with cash prizes, pull tabs, wheel of fortune, games for children, kids’ train ride, BB gun shoot, silent auction and  cake walk. Beanbag tournament at 8:30 p.m. Street dance, featuring The Wildwoods, is from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. Raffle drawing ($5,000 grand prize) at 8:30 p.m.

Avon • St. Benedict Parish Festival starts with outdoor Mass at 9:30 a.m. Bring your own chair. Activities run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Event includes food and refreshments, games for the entire family including bingo (in air-conditioned basement), inflatables for all ages, water war challenge, quilt raffles, cake walk, Nevada games, farmers market, homemade crafts and live music from local entertainers all day. Sportsman raffle and quilt auction at 3 p.m. Grand raffle at 7 p.m. in church basement.

Osakis • Immaculate Conception Parish Festival starts with outdoor Mass at 10:30 a.m. Pork chop dinner with homemade pies served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Event includes food stands, beer garden, bingo, family games, country store, live music, silent auction, live auction at 2:30 p.m. and raffle.

Freeport • Sacred Heart Parish Festival begins with outdoor polka Mass with The Nite Owls at 7:30 p.m. followed by street dance with Fabulous Armadillos at 9 p.m. Event includes food and entertainment for all ages. (Event continues Sunday.)
Sunday, July 19

Flensburg • Sacred Heart Parish Bazaar starts with outdoor polka Mass at 10:30 a.m. followed by parade at 11:30 a.m. Event includes Four Cheeks chicken and ham dinner including aluski served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids’ games, food and refreshment stands, cake walk, old-time music all afternoon, country store, silent auction, live auction at 1 p.m. and all-cash grand raffle drawing with top prize of $10,000 at 3:30 p.m. — tickets are $100. (Parish is located 8 miles  west of Little Falls.)

Foley • St. John Parish Bazaar begins with indoor Mass at 10 a.m. Food and refreshment stands, booths and games for all ages open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event includes music, adult and children’s bingo, water balloons, bake sale, cake walk, candy store, silent auction and grand raffle drawing at 4:30 p.m. in Emmaus Trinity Center.

Freeport • Sacred Heart Parish Festival continues from Saturday with parade at 10:30 a.m. followed by Sound Storm DJ. Roast beef sandwich dinner (in church basement) served at 11 a.m. Event includes games and concessions all afternoon, bingo, clown, water wars and dunk tank, inflatable bounce house and bounce slide, auction of quilts and other items (1:30 p.m.), grand raffle drawing — including prizes of $1,000, $500, two-night stay at Arrowwood Resort and oak chest with cedar lining and quilt (4 p.m.).

Millerville • Our Lady of Seven Dolors Parish hosts the Summer Bazaar and Raffle beginning with 10:30 a.m. Mass. Homestyle chicken dinner and all the trimmings served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in air-conditioned dining room. (Takeout available.) Event includes live music, bingo, silent auction, gaming, kiddie games, train rides, Bouncy House, refreshments and raffle.

Rice • Immaculate Conception Parish Summerfest begins with outdoor Mass “under the pines” with Gone Fishin’ Gospel Group at 10 a.m. Hog roast with all the fixings and homemade pies served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in air-conditioned hall. Pedal tractor pull competition at 12:30 p.m. Beer, pop and food stands, cash bingo, pull tabs, prize paddle wheel, games for children including bingo and barrel train rides, cake walk, country store, grandma’s attic, quilt raffle, basket raffle, silent auction, nail lumberjack contest, ring toss — all from noon to 5 p.m. Music by River Breeze Band (11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.) Grand raffle (over $6,500 in prizes) starts at 5 p.m.

Little Falls • Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Bazaar begins with indoor Mass with country gospel music by LaVerne & Friends at 4 p.m. Food stands, beer wagon, silent auction, games for all ages and pull tabs all begin at 5 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. Live entertainment by Kevin Lange & the Mississippi Drifters begins at 5:30 p.m. (Event continues Sunday.)


Sunday, July 26

Hillman • St. Rita Parish Bazaar starts with Mass at 10 a.m. Homemade chicken and ham dinner served in handicapped accessible air-conditioned parish hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes refreshments, cake walk, bingo, pull tabs, bake sale, country store, ice cream and games for all ages. Fancywork/craft auction at 2:30 p.m. and grand raffle (cash and merchandise — over $4,000 in prizes) at 5 p.m.

Little Falls • Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Bazaar continues with Mass celebrated at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. with country gospel music by LaVerne & Friends. Chicken and aluski dinner with all the trimmings including homemade coffee cake and pies served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes “Kid Polka” with Gene Retka, food stands, beer wagon, arts and crafts, kiddie games, bingo and pull tabs, dunking booth, silent auction, fancywork, cake paddles, live auction at 4 p.m. and grand raffle featuring over $17,000 (all cash prizes) at 6 p.m.

Luxemburg • St. Wendelin Parish Bazaar starts with Mass at 10 a.m. Chicken and ham dinner with dressing and pie served in air-conditioned indoor dining area and also outside from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Stands — food and refreshments, bingo, games, fancywork and crafts, cake walk — open at 11 a.m. Event includes live music with Nathan’s Old Time Band and BLT starting at noon, barrel locomotive rides and inflatables (11 to 4 p.m.), quilt auction (3 p.m.) and raffle — $1,000, entryway armoire and $350 as top prizes and $6,000 more in cash/prizes — at 5:30 p.m. in Mary Hall.

Maine Township • St. James Parish Summer Festival starts with outdoor Mass at 10 a.m. (Bring lawn chairs.) Lunch served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Free will offering.) Event includes games for all ages, country store, pie sale, music and raffle. (Church is located at 32009 Co. Hwy. 74, Underwood, just south of Pickerel Lake.)

Greenwald • Volleyball tourney at 9 a.m. kicks off Barley Days. Polka Mass at 7:30 p.m. on the St. Andrew Parish grounds. (Event continues Sunday.)

Albany • Seven Dolors Parish Summer Festival begins with indoor polka Mass at 10:30 a.m. with music by The Nite Owls. Serving starts at 11 a.m. for chicken and ham dinner in air-conditioned and handicapped accessible parish center and Holy Family School basement. Takeout available. Stands — food and refreshments including fet kuchen, fancywork and crafts, quilt stand, country store, bingo, games for kids and cake walk — open at 11 a.m. Event includes hand-stitched quilts (sale begins at 10 a.m.), live music by Gene Ostendorf Band (1 to 5:30 p.m.), quilt auction (3 p.m.), raffle drawing ($2,000 grand prize/over 175 prizes) at 6 p.m.

Greenwald • Barley Days continues from Saturday starting with parade at 11 a.m. followed by food and music all day on church grounds. Beanbag tournament at 1 p.m.

Pierz • St. Joseph Parish Summer Festival starts with polka Mass at 10 a.m. Gorka’s chicken and sauerkraut dinner served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in air-conditioned, handicapped accessible dining area. Event includes food and refreshments, music by Dale Dahmen and The Polka Beats, bingo, pull tabs, country store, silent auction, games for kids, fancywork, bake sale, veggie sale, book sale and quilt wheel. Grand raffle drawing at 4:30 p.m.

Rush Lake • St. Lawrence Parish Festival starts with outdoor polka Mass with Cathy Erickson Band at 10:30 a.m. Prime rib and chicken dinner served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes music and dancing, silent auction, bingo, children’s games, country store, snacks, refreshments, soft serve ice cream and raffle drawing (3 p.m.). Church is located at 46404 Co. Hwy. 14, Perham.

Bertha • St. Joseph Parish Festival begins with 10:30 a.m. Mass followed by dinner of meatballs, ham, potatoes, salads and homemade pie a la mode served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in church basement. Takeout available. Event includes outdoor refreshments, children’s games, inflatables, bingo, cake walk, silent auction, country market and 2 p.m. raffle.

Dent • Sacred Heart Parish Bazaar starts with indoor Mass at 10 a.m. (Church is handicapped accessible.) Chicken and meatball dinner served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Event includes silent auction, bingo, games, cake walk and country store. Raffle drawing at 3 p.m.

Randall • St. James Parish August Fest begins with Mass at 10 a.m. Gorka’s chicken, ham and corn-on-the-cob dinner starts at 10:30 a.m. Event includes food and refreshments, jumbo ice cream cones, music, country store, cake/pie walk, bingo, face painting, games and “table of toys” raffle for kids and a silent and live auction (3 p.m.). Special raffles for Henry repeating deer rifle and hunter’s chest. Grand raffle drawing ($2,000, $1,000, three $500 and many other cash prizes) at 5 p.m. (Church is located 10 miles N of Little Falls on Hwy. 10.)

Wahkon • Sacred Heart Parish Bazaar starts with Mass at 10 a.m. in handicapped accessible, air-conditioned church. Beef dinner with all the trimmings served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in air-conditioned church hall. Pop and beer sold outside. Event includes bingo, children’s games, country store (homemade, homegrown and home baked items), live auction (2 p.m.) and cash raffle drawing at 3 p.m.

Sartell • St. Francis Xavier Parish Fall Festival begins with Teen Night (open to youth in grades 7-12) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Food, games, music and door prizes under the big tents. (Event continues Saturday and Sunday.)


Saturday, August 15

Cold Spring • Boni-Fest 2015 starts with outdoor Mass with Boni Bluegrass at 5 p.m. Food and beverage stands, games for kids and inflatables open following Mass. Free dance with music of DJ Anthony Olsem from Amped Entertainment from 7 to 11 p.m. Fireworks display begins at 10 p.m. (Event continues Sunday.)

Sartell • St. Francis Xavier Parish Fall Festival continues with Franny Flyer 5K and 10K Walk and Run at 9 a.m. (Children’s 1K at 8:30 a.m.) Outdoor Mass celebrated at 4 p.m. — weather permitting. Food, refreshments and games follow Mass. Live music by Tres’ and Walter’s Wheelhouse from 5 to 10 p.m.  (Event continues Sunday.)


Sunday, August 16

Cold Spring • Boni-Fest 2015 continues from yesterday with indoor Mass at 8:30 a.m. Parade at 10 a.m. Chicken and dressing dinner with homemade desserts served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Food and refreshment stands open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Games for kids and inflatables (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Event includes music by Ray Drontle Band (noon to 2 p.m.) and Max and Deb  (2 to 5 p.m.) Quilt auction (2 p.m.), children’s raffle (4 p.m.) and grand raffle drawing and car raffle of 2014 Chevrolet Impala Limited LT (5 p.m.).

Perham • St. Henry Parish Summer Festival begins with 10 a.m. Mass. Lunch served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Free will offering.) Event includes bingo and games for all ages, silent auction, live auction and raffle drawing.

Reno Township/Lowry • St. John Nepomuk Parish Annual Dinner, Bazaar and Raffle. Chicken and wieners dinner served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes bingo, games for all ages, country store, kolache and bake sale, silent auction and raffle. (Parish is located 5 miles NE of Lowry and 1/4 mile W of Lake Reno.)

Sartell • St. Francis Xavier Parish Fall Festival continues with Masses at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., each followed by bake and plant sale. Dad’s Belgian waffle breakfast served from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Festival raffle drawing (with over $10,000 in prizes — top prize $2,000) at 12:30 p.m.

Elizabeth • St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish Annual Pork Out starts with Mass at 10 a.m. Dinner of slow roasted pork on a spit with “all the trimmings” served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Event includes beer garden, entertainment all afternoon by Ken Baker and Friends, ice cream, bingo, games, treat walk, penny raffle, garden produce, craft and bake sale, silent auction and raffle drawing at 3 p.m.

St. Francis • St. Francis of Assisi Parish Festival begins with polka Mass at 10 a.m. in air-conditioned church. Chicken and ham dinner served indoors and outdoors starting at 11 a.m. Live music by Nathan’s Old Time Band all day. Event includes food and beverage stands, fried bread, bingo, country store, fancywork, cake walk, games for kids. Live auction at 2:30 p.m. Grand raffle at 7:30 p.m. (St. Francis is located 10 miles N of Albany on Hwy. 238.)

Sauk Rapids • Sacred Heart Parish Festival activities begin at 9:30 a.m. and an indoor polka Mass at 10 a.m. Food court and stands open all day including fresh homemade donuts, bingo in air-conditioned hall, country store, games for all ages, paddle cake, basket bidding, book nook, grab bags and jewelry. Quilt raffle. Entertainment all afternoon. Grand raffle drawing ($5,000 cash prize/over $10,000 in prizes) at 5 p.m.

Harding • Holy Cross Parish Bazaar begins with indoor polka Mass (with Dale Dahmen and the Polka Beats) at 10 a.m. Dinner with homemade Polish coffee cakes and pies served after Mass until 2 p.m. Hamburgers and beverages for adults and children sold all day. Event includes games for kids, adult bingo, silent auction, live music throughout event including The Polka Beats and Virg and the Eldorados. Raffle drawing at 7 p.m.

St. Rosa • St. Rose of Lima Parish Fall Festival begins with outdoor polka Mass with music at 10:15 a.m. followed by chicken and ham dinner, catered by All Stars Sports Bar and Grill, with homemade pies, served at 11 a.m. Event includes bingo, games for adults and children, inflatables for kids, country store, cake walk, food and refreshments, beanbag tournament (1 p.m.), quilt auction (2 p.m.), evening music with Slewfoot Family Band (4:30 to 6:30 p.m.) and Kodiak (6:30-8:30 p.m.). Grand raffle drawing (over $10,000 in cash and prizes) at 8:30 p.m. Music by Steven Mages follows raffle.
